Sorry I have been a bit quiet and updates are less frequent then you are used to of me! In the forum I promised I would explain a bit more about why that is, so here we go.

After three years of working as a team with my webmaster, I have decided to continue the site without him.

You probably havent even realised it, but there have always been two people running this site, and we have always tried to go at it as a team. Lately I have been feeling more and more as if I am more ambitious and serious about the website then he is, and therefore we werent working towards the same goals any longer. We have discussed it many many times in the last months. Running a website such as this one is actually quite a bit of hard work and things arent always made easier by people who steal my stuff and offer it for free on the internet*. I increasingly felt like it was so much more hassle and worry then what I gained from keeping the website updated all the time, whether financially or emotionally. I am a very ambitious person and I am also the type of person who will want to do something well or not at all.

Lately I noticed, instead of trying to keep pushing my webmaster for the best possible, that I lowered my goals for myself and I tried to have peace with that. Then It hit me, why should I stop aiming for the highest possible? Its nonsense! This is what I love doing, this is what my heart is in and what Ive always wanted to do. Im living my dream and Im not even enjoying it?? Thats crazy! I might as well go and work at a bakeryshop, it would be lot less hassle! It was a very hard decision to make, but I believe I have done everything on my part to avoid this split and that I have done the right thing by ending the partnership with my webmaster. I believe it is the right thing to ensure the future of this website by looking for a new and very motivated webmaster, and to ensure that you, my dear fan and (hopefully) devoted member will get the very best you deserve. (I am forever greatful to all my dear members, for paying my rent and allowing me to share my passion with you!)

Unfortunatly that also means I am eagerly searching for a new, highly motivated webmaster to make this site the very best it can be. Instead of arranging photoshoots, right now I am pretty busy trying to sort out new systems to maintain the website at least partially myself, paperwork, and just trying to deal with it emotionally. So thats whats going on in my life… and with the website. Ofcourse I will continue to make sure AncillaTilia.com gets updated frequently. After a short break I am setting up photoshoots again with delicious new outfits such as two new sets by Patrick Ceuppens and House of Bias. So look out for that!

Im in a bit of a weird period right now, but it certainly isnt all bad! As you might already know I got my first movierole in a Dutch mainstream movie which is very exciting! More on that in an upcoming blog. After the loss of my cat Picasso Im about the adopt a Spynx cat, which is something I have wanted for YEARS.I dont have the kitten yet as the mother only just gave birth to it, but as soon as I have it youll be seeing kitten-cuteness all over this blog Other then that summer is in the air, and so is love, so Im feeling pretty bitter-sweet right now. Well, never a dull moment, right?

Please stick with me through these changing times and thank you so much for your never-ending support over the past few years!

Things arent always made easier by people who steal my stuff and offer it for free on the internet*: *Please, I beg you, DONT! It really affects me personally very much. I work very hard and invest a lot to set up cool new shoots for you to enjoy. If you love me and my work, be honest and please just get a freakin’ membership. If you see my pictures posted somewhere without permission, please notify me, I really appreciate it.

Hi Ancilla,

Sorry you seem to be going through a rough patch at the moment, up and downs etc, i think we all do Smile

If i had more time on my hand (just about to change jobs at work, Internal Communications Manager of all things) i would have loved to offer my services (Background in Webdesign/New Media Design. Really sucks cuz i think it would be a really good website to manage.

I hope you find someone good to take care of it for you so you can get on with the things you love and don't have to worry about the tech side of it.

I am chiming in late , exploring the forum. There is a way to keep people from taking pictures. I have seen it done on other sites. Honestly the one thing I find personally annoying about pictures is that they appear differently on different computers. Often times pictures appear dark on my monitor. If I adjust the monitor then it throws the pictures off that I edit. I play with photoshop elements and another program often.

It's a nice skill , it let's you see details in a picture that others on the net won't see because they don't have the capability. (think Ebay)

The point is that once you edit/ work on the site you should view it on another computer.

Hey Sweetie,

I just stumbled across this post today, and I share your feeling of disappointment when people you've been (working) with don't share your enthusiasm and ambition, and there's ultimately a parting of ways.

Not having seen an update to this thread in a while, I started wondering whether you got a great new web designer "on board" who was sharing your goals and ambitions, but then I found out via your new blog that Christine Kessler "stepped up to the plate".

Very Happy

Isn't she the best? I just love Steen. While I haven't had the pleasure, yet, to meet her in person, we've had some fun exchanges via the "electronic communications pipe", and if you ask her about whether the name "TwoRocks" means anything to her, she'll probably groan and laugh simultaneously...

Anyhoo... I'm happy that you are in good hands with your new sites, and being a web designer myself, I gotta compliment both you and Steen on all the new sites... looking yummy!
