Hahahaha, i think i'm the guilty party in this 
But well to start then: i was wondering what the experienced BDSM-ers think of "Secretary". A movie about an Sadomasochistic relationship between a secretary and her boss.
I liked it, but don't know how realistic it is, as i'm not too experienced in this.

| I got that film on DVD. A girl I talk to actually ordered me to get it within the week she told me about it so I guess it took an effect on me there and then lol. It's a pretty cool film, some of it is just odd though, and it's one of those films you really need to want to watch. I found you can't just watch it for the sake of it like you can most films. |

I hate to be the one to spoil the mood again, but I personally hated that movie. All of my fetish friends love it though, so I propably just "didn't get it" or something...
It's been a while since I saw the movie (twice) , but it didn't strike me as serious, comical, educational, exciting... or anything at all.. Both of the characters seemed to have a hell of a lot of personal issues, and because this was such a mainstream movie, I thought it was kind of a bad and prejudice-confirming message. I also think that the boss should propably be better off dealing with his issues on the couch of a psychologist rather then taking it out on her, and as for her character, the way she evoked punishment would have gone severely UNpunished in most real life bdsm-relationships.
So that was just my humble personal opinion.. sure don't mean to offend just about everybody else who immensely enjoyed that film

I was never a big fan of Secretary myself. Just didn't do anything for me and it was definitely overglorified because it hadn't really been done in mainstream films this way before. Just because it's different, doesn't make it any good.
Haven't seen Ages Of Lulu...I'll have to have a look and see whether it's something I'd enjoy.
Watched Dumpling again yesterday - anyone else seen it? |

Hi Ancilla, did you watch it? The Lulu movie i mean, was it any good?
It reminds me of another spanish movie about a sort dom/slave relationship, nothing graphical, but none the less. I forgot it's name, i've seen it about 20 years ago i think, so have to go and think hard. Could be complete crap of course when i see it now, but it left an impression apparantly. Apparantly was into this sooner than i thought |

I did manage to actually put the Lulu movie in my agenda after seeing the trailer on mtv. I missed the very first part of it but I thought it was absolutely worth watching. With modern-day porn all over the internet, it's probably nothing shocking (I hate to think!), but considering this was put out in the 80's it's very daring. Reminds me of Emanuelle and 9,5 weeks... and, well you all know how much love those
Not sure what Spanish movie you're thinking of Teddy, you'll have to come up with much more pervy details for me to get a clue what movie it might be  . Maybe try http://www.imdb.com ?
Have to say I didn't see dumpling, no. Any good?
Reminds me; anybody seen Non ti muovere? What is it about Spanish movies.. jeesh!  |

It's going to be difficult to find my movie though... i know it's spanish (i think ), i vaguely remember the main actor, and know somewhat the storyline, sot it's going to be a long night on imdb and google
I tried imdb already and found like 32000+ spanish movies, guess i'll have to go watch them all, how's that for masochism |

Yeah Dumplings is pretty good It's just about a middle-aged woman who would try anything to regain her youth so she's goes to see a woman who makes a certain type of dumpling with a nasty filling.
Hmmm the only Spanish film I've ever seen was that recent one about a serial killer who ties prostitutes and drug-addicted women up in this rubber-covered room before raping and killing them. Um it was charming...? Ahem. Ithink it was called something H9 or H[insertnumberhere] |

Plot summary:
"A submissive hooker goes about her trade, suffering abuse at the hands of Japanese salarymen and Yakuza types. She's unhappy about her work, and is apparently trying to find some sort of appeasement for the fact that her lover has married."
Reading the comments, it appears an interesting movie, but i don't think i will be an easy one for me. S&M-like movies with two (or more ) "willing"people is nice to watch, but when one of them is not really volentarily there, it makes a completely different movie to me. Not less interesting though.
